Mayor Pete Panepinto and the Hammond Airshow Foundation are proud to announce First Guaranty Bank as the Title Sponsor for the 2018 Hammond Northshore Regional airshow to be held at the Hammond airport on October 20 and 21, 2018. First Guaranty Bank was one of the sponsors of the Hammond Balloon Festival and The Hammond Balloon Festival and Airshow that ran from 1979 through 1992 at the Hammond Airport. Alton Lewis, President and CEO of First Guaranty Bank stated “First Guaranty Bank is honored to have the opportunity to support Hammond and our community by being the Presenting Sponsor for the Hammond Northshore Regional Airshow. This is an event which will bring great positive attention to our area and which will be a boost to all of our businesses and citizens.”

Mayor Panepinto announced the news of the Title Sponsorship on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at a joint meeting of the Hammond Airshow Foundation, Inc., a non-profit board formed to support the return of the airshow and the Hammond Northshore Regional Airshow Steering Committee. Mayor Panepinto told the volunteers that “First Guaranty Bank has once again stepped up to the forefront of community support and will be our title sponsor for the 2018 airshow.”

The theme of the 2018 airshow will be “Freedom Then and Now” which David Lobue, the airport's Executive Director says, “will draw attention to the role our airport played in training of pilots during WWII.”

“The commitment that First Guaranty Bank has made to the airshow will assure that there will be world class air performers at the airshow and we expect to draw visitors from throughout the region” stated Mayor Panepinto.
