The Hammond Airshow Foundation (HAF) announced today that the much-anticipated 2020 Hammond Northshore Regional Airshow will be postponed until October 2021 due to COVID-19 safety concerns.
“The Hammond Airshow Foundation considered first and foremost the safety and well-being of our citizens when making this DIFFICULT decision,” said Hammond Mayor and HAF Vice President Pete Panepinto.
The Hammond Northshore Regional Airshow, presented by First Guaranty Bank, was successfully brought back in 2018 with over 20,000 aviation enthusiasts at the Hammond Northshore Regional Airport (HNRA).
“The Hammond Airshow Foundation remains committed to bringing a world class airshow back to Hammond in 2021.”, said Guy Recotta, HAF President.
The family-friendly event was scheduled for September 19-20, 2020.
“With only one show under our belts in the modern era, we have already earned a reputation as one of the top shows in the country attracting the most sought after performers in the airshow industry.”, said David Lobue, HAF Board member and HNRA Director.
The Hammond Airshow Foundation thanks everyone for their support and looks forward to working with their sponsors, community and featured acts to come back better than ever. Tickets for the 2020 event will be honored for the 2021 Hammond Northshore Regional Airshow.
